An informal conversation series from Bridges Strong
Science and engineering are full of stories that sound made up — until you learn they actually happened. Origami that folds its way into medicine. NASA technologies hiding in everyday life. Real tools born from wild ideas.
In this series, Dr. Rosa Diaz and Dr. Otto C. Wilson Jr. sit down for an easy, curious conversation about those stories. Rosa is an astrophysicist and the founder of Bridges Strong. Otto is a biomedical engineer at The Catholic University of America and a Bridges Strong board member. Together they talk the way colleagues talk when the cameras are off: questions, laughter, and the “wait — that works?” moments that make people lean in.
Episodes are recorded now and will include live conversations as the series grows. Watch and listen here, and on our existing YouTube and X channels.
If you’ve ever thought engineering was only for experts, start here. The truth really can be stranger than fiction — and a lot more fun.
